Millionenlos Swisslos
Our new Millionlos commercial for Bluespirit and Plan B wrapped up this week after a very tight post production schedule. In less than three weeks we built and animated the trains, the station and the landscapes from scratch and comped the actors and extras. Taking a slightly more fantastical “gold rush” approach appearing next to the live-action director Chris Niemeyer was embedded in the boutiq offices as the 3D team raced towards the ridiculously tight dead line. Puma
Over the last couple of months Christoph Gabathuler directed his first spec spot for Puma’s “Mongolian Shoe Barbeque” sneaker series. Christoph’s acute attention to color, his use of tiny animated details and a lush rendering style add great personality to the work. The concept and execution of this piece is very tightly woven with the tailer-made aspect of this new shoe product. We are very proud of Christoph’s motion design skills and the exceedingly creative direction his work is taking him. Special Thanks to Jesse Hill for his amazing Sound Design and Score.

Agency Jung von Matt commissioned this brand ident for Migros. The animation is inspired by a pop up book style playing on the down to earth and “humorous” aspect of Switzerland’s largest and most popular retailer brand. This one shows that a simple good idea goes a long way.

Promoting the Sunqueen’s participation at this summer’s Aida Bregenzer Festspiele, boutiq was recently called upon to produce a :30 spot. Visually the commercial takes remarkable aspects of the ships features on screen while cruising across Lake Constance.

Commissioned by Bettertogether, this commercial intended for theatrical release addresses unwanted pregnancy in teenage women. The spot does a fine job in treating the politically controversial subject matter from an unbiased, emotional standpoint. Not an easy storytelling task for the director. Judge for yourself – the overall impact of the spot is hard to ignore.

Since we’re always happy to let graphic design take the lead in an ad campaign, we naturally jumped to it when Screenlounge asked us to ‘go motion’ on Wolf Olins’ nation branding campaign executed for Image Liechtenstein. The playful illustration style and vibrant palettes sure lit up the nation’s televisions.

With the firm belief that the world needs more holidays, we created one called Give A Stranger A Flower Day. Influenced by the great black and white sleuthing films of the 40’s and 50’s (and the release of Sin City) we chose to build the spot in Black and White and emphasize the joy a flower can give by shifting to color at the finale.

This simple campaign targeted at the Christmas shopping season plays on big bold headlines with a little twist. Hesskiss wanted clean functional spots with a suggestive, over-the-top touch. So we went to work with a straightforward, less-is-more attitude: solid motion emphasizing dynamic typography, and effective, cut-out inspired graphics.
